Market Destruction

CDinser Uncategorized

What do you do when your whole market is dissolved? I think about record stores like Tower records and Blockbuster video. People still buy music and watch movies they just don’t do it the way the companies deliver the media. You probably can’t find a video store now days. They were ran out of business by on demand, Netflix and Redbox. The one thing these companies do didn’t do especially blockbuster is change with the times. The people who started Netflix actually went to Blockbuster when they first got started and asked them did they want to invest and partner…

Bass lines

CDinser Uncategorized

I don’t know if you noticed that 2015 R&B music doesn’t have basslines. I’m sure it put a lot bass players out of business. plus the music lacks a certain feeling and by sales people are inadvertently noticing it also. I’m not sure why producers pulled the baselines, but it very prevalent in the R&B scene. I miss the bass line I think it carries the beat. I’m sure somebody will do a song with a bass line and have a smash hit and return the world of R&B back to where it needs to be.

Networking in the Game

CDinser Uncategorized

I notice a funny thing when clients come to my office to do business. They will hand me a business card with their info on it.  Usually the card will have their name, their production company name or business name, their email and their website.  So after we conduct business an they leave, I’ll hop on my computer and check out their website.  Now here’s where the problem begins more than 80% of the people that hand me a business card with their website on it have no website. I go to the site, it either doesn’t exist or it…

Destruction of the Record Business

CDinser Uncategorized

Record sales are down, fewer CDs are going platinum and more artists are finding other ways to make streams of revenue for themselves, whether its selling clothing lines, sneakers, crunk juice, or vitamin water.  The good ole days of selling 7 million albums looks like a thing of the past.  Most music insiders blame it all downloading and the Internet.  I have a totally different take on it. I own satellite radio in my car which puts over 184 channels at my disposal at any given moment. Plus I have my local radio stations. I subscribe to an expanded cable…

Short Run CD Insert Printing Short run CD Inserts is the backbone of our business. Short run refers to small quantities of less than 1,000 CD inserts. CD insert Printing and Promotion

CDinser Music

Promote Your Next project or Next Show With CD Insert Printing   I’m always amazed at how many artists I meet that do a poor job of promoting their music. Artists put hours and months into the creation of the music project. Then press up a 100 hundred CD’s and CD inserts, sell those hundred and call it a day for their CD release. There are 300 million people in America and you think selling a 100 CD’s is your threshold. That is pitiful. You as an artists need to really do some gorilla marketing and get your music out…
